Senior Marketing Director – Advanced Trading Technology

for Financial Institutions across Digital and Traditional Assets


Building on our strong recent growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced senior Marketing Director to join our team. The candidate must be located in Zurich.

As the Senior Marketing Director at AlgoTrader, you will be responsible for setting up, implementing and managing the company’s overall marketing strategy to ensure the AlgoTrader brand continues to be viewed as the leading technology player its space.

In addition, we released our newest brand, WIRESWARM in Q2 2020 so it is an extremely exciting time to join as the Senior Marketing Director to drive and establish the creation and growth of a new brand from the ground up.

Successful execution of the strategy and the integrated marketing campaigns for both AlgoTrader and WIRESWARM are extremely important for our company’s success so your contribution will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives.

  • Build, plan and implement the overall company marketing strategy
  • Manage and oversee the different marketing channels, campaigns and brands
  • Build an inbound and outbound marketing plan
  • Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Develop content, brand and product marketing initiatives
  • Establish an approach to systematic content creation to deliver thought leadership articles and other credible content campaigns by working with the different experts in our team

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Preferable experience in Financial Technology and having worked in agile scale-up organisations.
  • Minimum 5 years of all marketing facets, preferably in financial services
  • Experience in working in a global distributed environment


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within financial services
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, Mailchimp, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools

Job Overview

Building on our strong recent growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced Financial Services Technology Senior Sales Executive to join our team covering the European market. The candidate must be located either in Zurich or at a major European Financial centre. With a demonstrable and successful track record in delivering mission-critical solutions to Sell-side and Capital Markets firms, you will be responsible for actively developing, managing and closing new clients in addition to supporting our existing client portfolio. You must be a confident and motivated self-starter. Strategic solution sales experience in electronic trading and execution as well as exposure to the growing Digital Asset economy is highly critical along with a successful selling record of managing multiple complex sales engagements into buy-side firms like Hedge Funds. This is an extremely exciting time to be joining an ambitious high-growth Fintech with strong market demand with a well-established solution and client base.


  • Responsibility for sales to new and existing clients
  • Developing and growing the EMEA region for AlgoTrader with a particular focus on CH and DE markets
  • Manage the entire sales process from business development, lead qualification, business analysis, client presentations through to negotiation and deal closing
  • Cooperate with internal teams like marketing, pre-sales and sales support to increase sales through participating in the construction and delivery of successful go-to-market campaigns oriented towards the EMEA region
  • As a seasoned and successful new business sales professional, you will be expected to hit sales targets and be measured primarily on delivering new business


  • Minimum 10 years of strategic B2B consultative solution sales experience
  • Existing network within Sell-side firms and banks in particular
  • Experience in trading and execution management solutions highly favoured
  • Proven experience in selling Financial Services Technology Solutions to multiple levels within client organizations, up to and including C-Suite management
  • Proven track record of meeting new business sales targets in excess of USD 1 million annual sales quota with a quarterly target focus
  • Must be able to proactively develop outbound prospects as well qualifying and managing in-bound leads from our marketing and branding efforts
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining strategic account and partnership relationships in Financial Services
  • Generation of go-to-market and sales execution strategies for different target groups
  • Be a team player and happy to work with the global team and processes in terms of reporting, opportunity management and forecasting
  • Experience in working in a distributed global environment

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree or higher in Business or Engineering

Job Overview

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer based in Singapore. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be part of the AlgoTrader sales team and support the sales process and deal flow. You will collaborate closely with the sales, professional service, product development and technical support teams to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs. You will be reporting to the Global Head of Sales directly.


  • Support the sales team with project inquiries
  • Collaborate with banking clients and prospects for pre-sales, PoC and projects implementing WIRESWARM
  • Collaborate on the design of quantitative trading strategies for our customers
  • Collaborate on project estimations
  • Customer presentations of our solutions WIRESWARM and AlgoTrader
  • Technical support of sales staff and customer trials
  • Collaborate on the development of our products
  • Follow current industry trends and incorporating best practices into the solution


  • MUST HAVE: Experience in the trading domain, preferably with quantitative trading strategies and execution based on Stocks, Forex, Futures, Options and/or Cryptocurrencies
  • Key interest and focus on crypto and digital assets
  • At least 5 years’ hands-on professional experience in the Java enterprise environment
  • Experience with agile development
  • Experience in working in a distributed global environment

Required Skills

  • MUST HAVE: Very good expertise in the Java 8 SE/EE
  • Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering and/or Computer Science
  • Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate & FIX Protocol
  • Good understanding of RDBMS
  • Hands-on experience with Maven, Git, Jenkins & Nexus
  • Very strong communication skills and fluent in English
  • Ability to travel internationally, approximately 10 to 20%
